AI & MCP

A CMS your AI assistant knows how to use.

Plumixia embeds an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, the open standard that lets Claude, ChatGPT or your own agents use tools. Your assistant no longer just writes text for you to copy and paste: it creates the page, translates it and files it in the right place — as a draft.

Exposed tools

What the agent can do.

Every tool respects the roles of the user who connected the agent: a “content” account will never alter an object type reserved for developers.

ToolWhat it does
cms_site_briefSummarises a site: domains, languages, settings, published theme and layouts. The starting point of every session.
cms_list_types · cms_get_schemaLists available components and reads their schema: properties, translatable fields, where they can be placed.
cms_list · cms_getBrowses and reads pages, layouts, shared components, objects, themes, categories, media — including a past revision.
cms_searchFull-text search across published content, to avoid duplicates.
cms_create · cms_updateCreates or updates content. Every write produces a revision; write conflicts are handled.
cms_clone_pageDuplicates a page to derive another one.
cms_create_page_translation · cms_translate_textCreates a page's variant in another language and translates text through the configured translator.
cms_upload_file · cms_read_fileUploads a file to the media library, or reads an image or text file to describe and place it.
In real life

What people actually ask it.

“Here is my client's brief, build them a website.”

The agent reads the document, proposes a site map, sets up the theme and layout, writes the pages and the contact form. The site you are reading was built exactly this way.

“The client sent their corrections.”

The agent compares the revision document with the site, applies the changes page by page and lists what is still to be decided.

“Make the English version.”

Language variants created and linked, text translated, URLs adapted, layout made bilingual.

“Add an FAQ and SEO markup to these five pages.”

Questions written from the existing content, FAQ block and structured data added, as drafts for review.

Guardrails

Powerful, not unchecked.

Handing a CMS to an AI agent only makes sense if you stay in control. Plumixia was designed for exactly that.

  • User permissions: the agent never has more power than the person who connected it
  • Draft by default on sites without auto-publish
  • Signed revisions: every change is traceable and reversible
  • No immediate erasure: trash and pending deletion
  • Sensitive settings (sites, domains) reserved for the admin interface
  • Translation quota protected by site permissions
Questions

MCP in two minutes

What is the Model Context Protocol (MCP)?

An open protocol describing how an AI assistant discovers and uses external tools. An MCP server announces its tools and their parameters; the assistant calls them when the task requires it.

Which assistants are compatible?

Any MCP client: Claude (web, desktop apps and Claude Code), ChatGPT depending on the plan, and agents you build yourself with a compatible SDK.

Does the agent see my whole site?

It sees what the user who connected it sees, site by site. You can create a dedicated account for the agent with restricted rights.

Do I need a specific AI subscription?

No. The MCP server is included in Plumixia; you use the assistant of your choice with your own subscription. Machine translation uses the translator configured on your instance.
