What is a CMS?
A CMS (Content Management System) is software that lets you create, organise and publish the pages of a website from an admin interface, without writing code.
Is Plumixia a headless CMS?
Both. Plumixia renders pages as HTML on the server itself, which is simple and effective for SEO, and exposes all content through a REST API and MCP to feed an application or another front-end.
Can I manage several sites and languages?
Yes. One instance hosts as many sites as you need, each with its own domains and languages. Language variants of a page are linked together and translation is assisted.
Can I use my own design?
Yes. The theme defines stylesheets and head tags; blocks accept HTML and any CSS classes, Tailwind or other.
AI
How can an AI edit the website?
Through the built-in MCP server. The agent acts with the permissions of the user who connected it and produces draft revisions; publishing stays a human action on sites without auto-publish.
Is my content used to train an AI?
Plumixia does not send your content to an AI provider on its own. It is the assistant you connect that reads the content, under the terms of your own subscription; translation goes through the service configured on your instance.
Hosting & security
Where is it hosted?
On a managed cloud in France, or on your own Kubernetes infrastructure. Data lives in PostgreSQL and media on S3-compatible storage.
Do I have to install security updates?
Not with managed hosting: we apply them. With no third-party plugins to maintain, the attack surface stays small.
Migration & data
Can I migrate from WordPress, Framer or another CMS?
Yes. Pages are brought over, old URLs redirected to the new ones, and an AI agent can speed up the content migration. We compare the old and new sites before switching over.
Can I get my data back?
Yes, at any time, through the API and the media library export.
